The Dinosaur House is a small dinosaur museum located in the historic town Raetihi. See dinosaur skeletons, walk among life-size reconstructions including the always popular T-Rex and Spinosaurus, and learn about the enthralling world that they lived.

Housed in a beautiful 1922 heritage building in the centre of the historic town of Raetihi. It is a traditional museum using the beauty and majesty of more than 100 specimens to show the public the exciting and wonderful world of fossils and dinosaurs.

You’ll be transported back to prehistoric times to explore our carefully curated exhibits which will expand your mind.

Manuka Lodge sits charmingly at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, and enjoys a rural outlook belying its close proximity to Ohakune town. Our lodge is a purpose built two-story B&B. We offer 4 well appointed guest rooms; 3 x king and 1 x queen. All rooms have en-suites, (our queen’s en-suite has a wet area shower). Guests have access to a large open-planed lounge & dining area. The lounge features a cosy open fireplace, comfy sofas and a large flat screen tv. There is also a drying room with plenty of space to store sport paraphernalia, and a luxury outdoor spa pool. Tūroa sits on the south western slopes of Mt Ruapehu and is one of New Zealand's largest ski areas with the nation’s longest vertical drop at 722m. The High Noon Express' 6 seater chairlift reaches the highest lifted point in New Zealand where you'll enjoy panoramic views of North Island.

It’s cliffs, bowls & volcanic terrain make it feel like you’re out in the winter wilderness, even when you’re skiing or riding within the ski area boundary. Tūroa can be likened to one very large playground. It’s terrain naturally encourages skiers & snowboarders to be playful with two beginners areas, plenty of gullies, natural hits, wide trails & world class terrain parks.
