About

New Zealand’s tourism icon, Rotorua is spiritual home to the Maori of Te Arawa.

Experience the awesome forces of nature – bubbling mudpools, spouting geysers and hot water beaches.

The heartland of New Zealand and spiritual home to the Maori, Rotorua boasts an array of icon experiences which together encapsulate the essence of this remarkable country.

We have a proud tradition of hosting guests from all over the world. Our welcome is “Rotorua – feel the spirit – Manaakitanga”. Manaakitanga is a deep-rooted concept in Maori culture. It is a challenge, a responsibility on us as hosts to give the very best of ourselves. It is also an invitation to experience the essence of this extraordinary slice of New Zealand – by day and by night.

In almost all respects, Rotorua’s central location is most significant. Four state highways (5, 30, 33, and 38) converge on the City. The cities of Auckland, Hamilton, and Rotorua are linked by rail. Rotorua Airport is served by New Zealand’s key domestic airlines. The City is an important agricultural and forestry service centre for the surrounding rural district. The fact that from almost any position in the City it is possible to see pasture or forest clad hills, illustrates the importance of this rural/urban relationship.

Rotorua truly is an adventure playground with endless thrill, leisure and sporting options. Mountain bike on some of the world’s best tracks, roll downhill in the N.Z. designed Zorb or go luging, another world first by innovative Kiwis. Run into the mouth of a volcano or raft the world’s highest waterfall, the list goes on and on.

Rotorua – it’s like no other place on earth.
