Art Deco Napier

Each year thousands to flock to Hawke’s Bay’s Art Deco Festival.
Fox furs, boaters and beads are the order of the day, the roads are reclaimed by vintage vehicles, while jazz tunes serenade from street corners. Outside of the festival, Hawke’s Bay retains a strong Art Deco vibe thanks largely to the area's architecture which emerged following a devastating earthquake in 1931 which destroyed much of central Napier. Take a tour in a vintage car or enjoy a guided walking tour with a knowledgable guide to show you the best examples of Art Deco buildings you’ll see anywhere.
